Snow White, The Bavarian Tale gathered by the famous Brothers Grimm, receives a modern makeover in Snow White and the Huntsman.  Kristen Stewart plays Snow White.  Though it was hard to see her as a pure virgin soul.  Blame Twilight for that one.  Charlize Theron plays the evil queen which wasn’t too much of a role stretch.  Blame Monster for that one.  The movie generally portrays the same story line as the original tale with dwarfs, apples, and such.  However, the Hunstman (Chris Hemworth), a historically unpopular character gets a serious PR facelift.  First time film producer, Rupert Sanders, does a surprisingly good job of displaying the whimsicalness and magic of the story without child proofing the film.  This is a good film. But beware, it’s no fairy tale. 740
